Akshay Kumar gets emotional after holding his baby first time

The couple already has a 10-year-old son, named Aarav. Aarav was born in September 2002. "I must thank you all for your love during this special time in my life - Proud Papa," he wrote.

Akshay was busy in promoting his forthcoming venture "Oh My God" and took break for his baby girl.

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna today became proud parents of a baby girl. 

"There is no greater feeling in life than holding your baby for the first time. I wish I could express more about how HAPPY I am right now, but I'm at a loss of words," tweeted Akshay Kumar on Wednesday.

Akshay Kumar said Tuesday that their daughter looks like her mother Twinkle Khanna, and grandmother, Dimple Kapadia.

Amitabh Bachchan emotional after watching English Vinglish

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has said Gauri Shinde's debut directorial " English Vinglish" moved him so much that he was left in tears.

The film, which will hit theatres on October 5, marks the comeback of screen diva Sridevi after a gap of fifteen years and also has a cameo by Big B.

"A viewing of 'English Vinglish' directed by Gauri Shinde, wife of R Balki tonight, leaves me with collective lumps in the throat and a surge of flushed eyes near the tear ducts.

"And it is not all the emotion of a particular moment that puts one in such state. It is the uncontrollable effect of appreciation that prevents one from expressing any at all...," Bachchan, wrote on his blog.

The 69-year-old actor says he was surprised by the creative talent that has emerged over 100 years in Indian cinema.
The film is about a housewife who enrolls for an English speaking course to please her husband and family.

"In our simplicity lies the true story of a lifetime. Massive explosions and devastating action sequences make you wonder in high adrenalin awe. But equally, the ordinariness of everyday life, strikes many strings that work together in sympathetic chords.

"...Many do it with the ease of a breath taken deeply and exhaled with silent confidence. For me that was the moment in Gauri's film tonight. It said so much in so little!!," added Bachchan.

'Barfi', Ranbir-Priyanka starrer Bollywood blockbuster nominated for Oscars

Ranbir-Priyanka starrer Barfi! has been nominated in the category of 'Best Foreign Language Film' at the Oscars in February next year.

Barfi, directed by Anurag Basu has beaten 19 other films to be named India's official entry to the Oscars. Its collection in its opening week is Rs. 58.6 crore.

The magic of Anurag Basu's Barfi! has worked. The heartwarming movie, about love between a deaf and mute boy and an autistic girl.

The decision was taken at a Film Federation of India (FFI) meeting in Hyderabad on Saturday night.

"Barfi! has indeed been chosen as the country's official entry this year," FFI secretary general Suparn Sen said.

The UTV is Delighted about the news. "We are honoured that Barfi! has been selected to represent India as its official entry to the Academy Awards 2013. Barfi! is very close to the hearts of all of us at UTV, and it gives us great satisfaction that a film we have developed and nurtured from its inception has met with so much love from audiences and critics worldwide," Siddharth Roy Kapur, managing director - Studios, Disney UTV, said in a statement.

 "An added source of pride is that this is the fourth UTV film in the last seven years to have been selected to represent India at the Academy awards; our earlier selections being Rang De Basanti (2006), Harishchandrachi Factory (2009) and Peepli Live (2010)," he added.

Anushka Sharma reveals her role in Yash Chopra's SRK starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan

Anushka is playing the role of a "very hardworking girl", says the white sari does not go with her character in the film.

"I know that there is something like an image about Yashji's heroines but maybe I am the new age Yash Chopra heroine. There is going to be a white chiffon sari but I am the white ganji girl and that's what I am going to be wearing," Anushka told PTI in an interview.

"My role is of a girl of 21-year-old girl who is very hard working and ambitious. She is working for Discovery channel and is trying to make a documentary. I don't fit into the saree image because of the character but she has the same emotions so it is a Yash Chopra love," says Anushka.

Chopra is directing 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' after a gap of eight years. "I would have had an incomplete career if I did not have a film by Yash Chopra because everyone called me an Yash Chopra heroine as I was launched by Yash Raj Films. I was doing lot of YRF films but I was not actually a Yash Chopra heroine till I did this film," says Anushka.

"Ladakh and Kashmir were very beautiful. I have never been to these two places, they are so stunning. I felt they are better than most of the European countries that I have been to. It was very refreshing to shoot there. I have never experienced that kind of terrain in India."

Apart from Chopra's film, the actress recently shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola'. She also stars in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Peekay' and Anurag Kashyap's 'Bombay Velvet'.
